atlante di roma

Art is Open Source (artisopensource.net) and Fake Press (fakepress.net) will be presenting an enormous interactive infoaesthetic environment at the Festa dell’Architettura of Rome, from the 9th to 12th of June 2010.
The interactive environment is named “Atlante di Roma” (Atlas of Rome) and it is an instance of a wider project which will be launched online on the website atlantedellevisioni.net . The project is curated by Paolo Valente, who practically made everything possible. The Atlas has another component which is called ABC Roma by Giuseppe Stampone.

The particular piece shown in this video is a “scorestream” of mine, a composition for improvisers in which both conventional and graphic music notations are displayed on networked laptop computers.

x1 by archivelectronic

like being swallowed and digested by an alien.

The first piece of creative work to be released on Archivelectronic, X1 is the product of the label’s current creator in residence – Gawain J Carey.
X1 explores movement through the translation of motion tracking information – derived from dance, into user data for the application of automating static audio and visual components. By feeding robotic and slow motion dance movement into organic sounds and images, X1 is able to simulate a “spontaneous and irresistible weld” between the auditory and the visual.

for those about to rock

On the site of a thousand years of violent history, ACDC were pitted against Iron Man in a ground breaking architectural projection mapping project. The front facade of the Great Keep at Rochester Castle, was brought to life using the latest in 3D animation techniques. This onslaught of the senses, saw the castle confront it’s ultimate challenge. Warping, morphing, spewing and collapsing before the audiences eyes. Let there be rock!
